Switch 2 Reveal review: Switching up expectations

Review:

Every Time there’s a new Nintendo system in the rumor mill or teased by Nintendo themselves, the whole world waits in anticipation of what new revolutionary technology this Kyoto-based company has to offer. The new system, Switch 2, is shaping up to be Switch’s next step in delivering high-quality games to their loyal fanbase.
From the announcement video, we see the original Switch go through a magical girl-like transformation from the original Switch to the Switch 2 while showcasing some, but not all, features, like a new kickstand, something alot of people have been asking for years now, including myself. We also see the system getting larger and having the same ports with different placements to make it better than ever.
The joycons changed alongside the new system, showcasing how they’re now mostly black with hints of red/blue on the control sticks and the connecting ports to the system or a joycon grip, now with magnetic attachments for easier times getting them on and off, but I do worry about the pins shown from excessive use.
Once the system fully changes, we then see the Switch 2 in action as it shows us about 10 seconds of what appears to be a brand new Mario Kart game. It was hard to see some things in it, but alot of people saw some features like the possibility of 24-player races, and some character designs, like Donkey Kong, changed to match the movie that came out years ago.
Overall, the Switch 2 is shaping up to be an amazing system ahead, despite the lack of knowledge we have about it. While it was neat how they officially confirmed how Switch games are backward compatible, We still need to wait until April 2nd for the new Nintendo Direct for more info. All we can do now, though, is wait and speculate on what is to come, what games will launch with it, and any other surprises Nintendo has in store for us.
